St. Peter’s Sunday Church School meets at 10:00 a.m. Sunday mornings, from September to June.  Classes are provided for children from age 3 to those in grade 8.

The curriculum is based on scripture.  Bible stories are presented in age-appropriate context, followed by related applications.  Seasonal activities and occasional guest speakers supplement the curriculum.  Worship is emphasized with a program of SCS opening devotions and group singing, as well occasional attendance at the church service for a children’s sermon and blessing.

Children in the SCS share their knowledge and talents through musical presentations, art displays, a special Advent service, a Reformation play, hosting the fellowship hour and participating in the Cherub and Junior Choirs.  They are encouraged to help others through donations to local charities such as the food bank, and through initiatives sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, such as CLWR We Care kits.

Social events for children include activities such as birthday celebrations, pumpkin carving and pancake making.

The SCS teaching staff are adult and youth volunteers, who teach in teams.

Nursery facilities are available for very young children.
